About Crooked Oaks
Coach Pat Dye’s Passion for Auburn Lives On
Auburn’s legendary football coach, Pat Dye, developed Crooked Oaks as his homestead and a place where folks could relax and enjoy the outdoors. Located in Notasulga, the 415-acre property includes Dye’s former home, guest cabins, lodge, pavilion, multiple gardens, and gazebo that are open and ready to accommodate everyone from gameday fans to brides and grooms. The rolling hills, forest, and gardens are idyllic for all who desire to gather among the natural beauty of Crooked Oaks, whether they are hosting a company retreat, family reunion, or other special event.
During Coach’s life, Crooked Oaks became a beloved part of him, where he enjoyed the wonderful people he met and the great friends he made. The guests who returned year after year became a treasured part of his extended family. Now bequeathed to Auburn University’s College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment, the Auburn Family is proud to continue Pat Dye’s tradition of Southern hospitality. We invite you to join us for a relaxing stay or a memorable experience in fellowship with your friends and family. If you are passing through town or simply want to take a break from the pressures of life, we look forward to being your host.
